Acura Receives 5-Year Cost to Own Luxury Brand Award

Acura-KBB 5-Year Cost to Own Luxury Brand

Acura has been named the winner of Kelley Blue Book's 2017 5-Year Cost to Own Award for Best Luxury Brand* for the second consecutive year. The brand’s fleet of premium cars and SUVs with low ownership costs led to its overall win.

KBB used a variety of factors to determine which new cars on the market have the lowest projected ownership costs within the first five years of ownership. Everything from the cost of the vehicle, insurance and depreciation to the cost of repairs, maintenance and fuel was considered. In most cases, Acura came in first or second when each of these factors were applied, which helped it nab this year’s top title.

"This award demonstrates, once again, that the exceptional quality and reliability of Acura products lead the luxury segment," said Jon Ikeda, vice president and general manager of Acura.

Acura’s luxury car lineup is full of impressive, high-end sedans, including the TLX, RLX and ILX. The MDX and RDX crossovers also attract buyers with their lavish features and capabilities. For the 2017 model year, the most highlighted model in the roster is the next-generation Acura NSX supercar. Available now at Acura of Peoria, the new-and-improved electric car offers first-class performance that trumps many of its competitors.
