Fresh Exterior Upgrades
Most of the MDX’s newest additions can be found on the exterior of the vehicle. The headlights, foglights, hood, rear bumper and rocker panels have all been revised this year, giving the crossover a more daring appearance. If you’re familiar with last year’s model, you also notice the grille has been replaced with a new pentagon design that further complements the car’s new aesthetic.
Trims & Amenities
Offered in three trims – Standard, Technology and Advance – the 2017 MDX provides a little bit of something for everyone. It can seat up to seven passengers and is available with second-row captain’s chairs this year that provide more interior space. A heated steering wheel is also optional on select models, including upgraded wood trim. You can even tack on an Entertainment Package that comes with a DVD rear entertainment system – a perfect companion during long drives.
Driver-Assist Safety Features
Safety is also a priority when it comes the latest MDX. You’ll find a number of standard technologies, including forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, lane departure alert, adaptive cruise control and emergency braking. A part of the AcuraWatch suite, these features enhance safety and security.
Gas & Hybrid Options
A 290-horsepower 3.5L V6 is equipped to the MDX. It comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission that drives power to the wheels.
In the spring time, a hybrid model will join the MDX lineup. Packing three electric motors, a 3.0L V6 and a seven-speed gearbox, the eco-friendly crossover will produce up to 350 horsepower and provide top-notch fuel efficiency.
