The new Acura ARX-06 pair made an impressive debut this past November in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship preseason testing at the Daytona International Speedway, with the two cars combining to lead three of the five test sessions.
The #93 car impressed during the first day of testing, with drivers Nick Yelloly and Renger van der Zande splitting the fastest times in their sessions. Yelloly's time of 1:35.725 would prove to be the fastest time in the GTP class that weekend. Meanwhile, the #60 Acura MSR vehicle driven by Colin Braun took the top spot during the first session of day two.
Overall, the #93 car made 411 laps around the Daytona International Speedway, while the #60 made 394 turns during the two-day test. Both vehicles featured refreshed aerodynamic packages, as well as new Michelin tire compounds, to prepare for the 2026 IMSA season. The drivers of both cars were very happy with the test, and they look forward to competing in the upcoming racing season.
While these two new vehicles are obviously not available to the general public, Acura of Peoria has plenty of other Acura vehicles for you to choose from. Visit our dealership today to check out our inventory and schedule a test drive.
