Acura MSR Performance at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
With a seating capacity of more than 250,000, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is one of the world's largest venues for auto racing. This historic speedway hosted the Battle on the Bricks event on September 20, 2026. The main title sponsor for the racing event was TireRack.com. Veteran driver Tom Blomqvist finished fifth in the highly competitive race. He eagerly joined the MSR team in 2022 after a series of successful runs on iconic global circuits. For instance, Blomqvist was a starting driver at the elite 24 Hours of Le Mans. He also had impressive finishes on the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship tour.
Blomqvist handled the number 60 Acura MSR vehicle with excellent precision and composure at the Battle on the Bricks. The ARX-06 model flaunted distinctive green-and-orange graphics on a black frame. Under the hood, this racing marvel is powered by a twin-turbocharged engine. A rear electric motor also powers this versatile car. White paint prominently highlighted the traditional Acura logos on the vehicle's rooftop and hood. Smaller Michelin logos were displayed on the car's rear end. After all, the ARX-06 traditionally rolls on premium Michelin tires and forged alloys. Blomqvist got off to a promising start on the first loop of the race, leading from pole position. A pit stop and driver swap significantly impacted the running order when rivals opted for a short-fill strategy, cycling teammate Colin Braun out in fourth position. Blomqvist admitted after the race that the car struggled for pace over longer runs, making it difficult to hold off competitors. Nevertheless, the team delivered a strong performance to secure a top-five finish at such a prestigious event.
