One of the main differences between the TLX Base and Advance models is their performance. Both models come with a 2.0-L engine that produces 272 horsepower. Both models also come with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission system.

If you're looking for a more luxurious TLX, then the Advance trim is the way to go. However, if you don't need as much luxury, the Base model will still provide you with a great driving experience.


Concerning appearance, the TLX Base and Advance models are very similar. Both trims come with LED headlights and taillights. They also have 18-inch aluminum wheels.

However, there are a few subtle differences between the two. For instance, the Advance trim features body-colored door handles and side mirrors, while the Base model has black door handles and side mirrors.

In addition, the Advance trim comes with chrome exhaust finishers, while the Base model has black exhaust finishers.

These are just a few differences between the TLX Base and Advance models. As you can see, both trims offer different levels of features and amenities.


In addition to their different engines, the TLX Base and Advance models also come with various features. Some of the standard and optional features of the Base model include:
