Specs at a Glance
The 2027 Acura Integra remains one of the highest-rated cars in its class. Driving enthusiasts love this premium sport compact's responsive performance, modern features, and everyday practicality. When shopping for a new Integra, some people will be deciding between the A-Spec® and Type S trims. Here's a look at how these two Integra trims compare.
Performance
Under the Integra A-Spec's® hood rests a 1.5-liter, VTEC turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It's rated to develop an enjoyable 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable transmission with race-inspired paddle shifters adds to the fun. Using the Integra's Integrated Dynamics System, you can personalize your driving experience by selecting from a variety of driving modes. Like every other trim, the Integra A-Spec® features front-wheel drive.
The high-performance Integra Type S steps up to a beefier 2.0-liter, VTEC turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at a thrilling 320 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. It comes exclusively with a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission. Upgraded performance features include large Brembo front brake calipers, a motorsport-engineered Dual-Axis Strut front suspension, and an Active Exhaust Valve.
Appearance
The Integra A-Spec® definitely has a performance-inspired appearance. While 18-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels give the car a grounded stance, a high-gloss black lower rear diffuser helps create a powerful rear profile. Other eye-catching exterior features include a trunk-mounted lip spoiler, Jewel Eye LED headlights, and Chicane LED taillights. Head-turning paint colors, such as the exclusive Double Apex Blue Pearl, elevate the Integra A-Spec's® visual appeal.
Featuring a widebody design, the powerful Integra Type S looks ready to hit the track. You'll immediately notice its prominent fender flares and functional cooling air ducts. Unique 19-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels with red brake calipers further distinguish the Type S trim. In the rear, signature triple-center exhaust tips enhance the car's aggressive persona.
Features
Several desirable features come standard on the Integra A-Spec®. While technology lovers will enjoy the 9.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats ensure all-day comfort. Other highlights include an AcuraWatch suite of advanced safety features, wireless phone charging, a power sunroof, and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster.
The high-performance Integra Type S receives some premium upgrades, including a 16-speaker ELS Studio premium audio system and a head-up display. However, keep in mind that Acura deletes the Type S trim's sunroof to aid performance.
