In 2024, several Acura vehicles earned wins and podiums in several events at Road America. The TCX Integra Type S received awards for the fastest lap and won two races at the event. The Acura NSX also made a solid first impression by clocking the fastest lap before qualifying for a key race at Road America. The NSX podiumed three races at the event.
Behind the Winning Cars
Both the Type S and the NSX are made for speed and performance. While they're adept at handling and accelerating, some notable updates have made them even better than ever. The Type S was even more race-ready this year with a new platform. The NSX also continually has improvements to improve its speed and handling. Those improvements helped it reach three consecutive podiums and earn the 3rd place spot for best in its class in the 2024 Road America event.
Acura Integra Type S
The Acura Integra Type S is the highest trim level in the Acura lineup and also the sportiest. It is designed for performance with more race-oriented features, including performance summer tires and 19-inch wheels. The Type S also has stronger brakes and an adaptive exhaust system. The front seats have a sporty design, and the Type S has more distance between its wheels for better stability. The Type S gets a turbo engine and a six-speed manual transmission.
Acura NSX
The Acura NSX is a two-door coupe that is just as comfortable as it is fun to drive. It also excels in handling, so it's accessible for novice and professional drivers. The Acura NSX is a lightning-fast vehicle with a power output of up to 600 horsepower. Its twin-turbo engine also clocks fast acceleration times.
About Road America
Road America is a road racing track in Wisconsin. Every year, it hosts a series of events focused on performance and speed. The season consists of over 400 events. In 2024, Acura raced the Type S and NSX with the SRO Motorsports Group. The track at Road America has 14 turns and is just over four miles long. Elevation changes and a long front stretch are highlights of the race course. In 2024, Acura's vehicles podiumed at two of the largest events at Road America: the GT World Challenge America and TC America races.
