Specs at a Glance
If you're looking for a fresh look at the RDX A-Spec, but don't want to take a deeper look at the other trim levels, this will be the perfect article. I'll compare and contrast additional features that are only available on the Advance model and highlight some of the additional features only available on the A-Spec. That way, you can quickly gain insight into whether it's worth considering the Advance model over your current trim level.
Performance
The 2022 Acura RDX gives you the choice of two engines. The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while the available 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 is good for 355 hp and 354 lb-ft. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, giving you plenty of power. The RDX is also lighter than previous models, which improves both handling and efficiency.
Appearance
The exterior of the RDX A-Spec Advance is designed to stand out. A-Spec Advance blacked-out grille and front bumper add an aggressive touch that captures attention, while a standard panoramic moonroof lets in natural light and helps create a spacious cabin. The A-Spec Advance also features dark chrome exhaust finishers, 20-inch Shark Gray wheels, and the A-Spec badge for an aggressive look. Inside, the RDX A-Spec Advance has standard heated and ventilated perforated Milano leather sport seats with contrast stitching and a heated steering wheel to keep hands warm during the winter months. Features
While the 2022 Acura RDX A-Spec and A-Spec Advance share similarities, there are also some critical differences between the two models. The most notable difference between the two trims is price. You'll save about $4100 when selecting the A-Spec over the A-Spec Advance, so weighing your wants against your needs is essential. The A-Spec Advance offers additional standard features not available on the lower trim. These include heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a remote start. The RDX A-Spec and A-Spec Advance come with a power liftgate, but only those with the Advance package will get pedestrian detection as part of their Collision Mitigation Braking System. Rear parking sensors are standard on both trims, but only the Advance package comes with front parking sensors and rear cross-traffic monitoring.
We realize that some buyers will skip over vehicles because of their color choice. We encourage those readers to step outside of their comfort zone and test drive one of these three vehicles. Both the RDX and Rondo are well-spec'd, and the CR-V has been redesigned from the ground up for 2016. All three offer excellent value for the money, focusing on safety and efficiency in every package. Readers should feel good about any of these selections as they search for a new vehicle. Hopefully, you've learned something. If you have any questions, please contact us or visit our dealership.
