Specs at a Glance

The 2023 Acura RDX ranks among today's most appealing premium SUVs. Not only does the new RDX offer an exciting driving experience, but it also gives you access to a long list of luxurious features. Attention-grabbing styling makes this crossover even more enticing. Let's find out how the RDX Base compares to the RDX A-Spec® Advance.

Performance

Both of these RDX trim levels feature a 2.0-liter VTEC turbo four-cylinder engine. It keeps drivers engaged by developing a hard-hitting 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters enhances the SUV's responsive nature. You can choose from four unique driving modes: Comfort, Normal, Snow, and Sport. While the base model offers Acura's famed Super Handling AWD system as an option, this upgrade comes standard on the A-Spec® Advance trim level.

Appearance

When checking out the new RDX, you'll find its dynamic styling will instantly grab your attention. Jewel Eye LED headlights, and a signature Diamond Pentagon grille help its front fascia to stand out. Rectangular dual exhaust finishers add another degree of sportiness. Furthermore, even the base trim rides on 19-inch alloy wheels. Several head-turning paint colors are available, including Performance Red Pearl and Platinum White Pearl. In terms of overall appearance, there's not a drastic difference between these two RDX trims. However, a set of 20-inch wheels comes equipped with the A-Spec® Advance trim.

Features

Few entry-level trims come loaded with as much standard equipment as the base RDX. Acura's modern True Touchpad Interface features a 10.2-inch HD display with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone connectivity. GPS-linked climate control helps enhance passenger comfort. Other great amenities include 12-way heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and AcuraWatch safety technologies.

If you desire an elevated sense of luxury, step up to the RDX A-Spec® Advance. Y-pattern dark brushed aluminum trim and upgraded Milano leather seats enhance the cabin's upscale character. Boasting a total of 16 speakers, the RDX A-Spec® Advance's ELS premium 3D sound system promises to treat you to an especially powerful music-listening experience. Another nice perk is the SUV's 10.5-inch head-up display, which puts key driving information in your direct line of sight. The A-Spec® Advance trim also includes ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, navigation, and a surround-view camera.
