2023 Acura RDX Base vs A-Spec Trim Level
The Acura RDX is a sport crossover SUV of the premium variety. It comes with a 2.0L VTEC Turbo engine that's going to catapult your drive game to the next level. Even though each trim of the RDX is epically refined and set apart from the competition, there are still different trim levels to decide on. Which RDX appeals to you in 2023?
Performance
The base and A-Spec levels are on opposite ends of the trim lineup, but they both get the powerful 2.0L VTEC engine and 272 horsepower performance. Each one rides with 280 lb-ft of torque. However, the A-Spec comes with standard Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, an advanced all-wheel drive system that adjusts your handling on-the-fly.
Appearance
The iconic traits of the Acura RDX include Jewel Eye LED headlamps, panoramic roof, and Dragon Tail headlamps. We know these on sight and know what crossover is showing them off. Style-wise, the base, and A-Spec sport most of the same options. However, the model's A-Spec comes with an optional Sport Appearance package that's worth a look if you enjoy sportier SUV crossovers. The iconic RDX premium look is on both of these models and makes for an impressive family SUV with few downsides to consider. You'll always look sharp in an RDX.
Features
Open the doors of the base model, and you'll see leatherette sport seats, 12-way power front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Ambient cabin lighting and active sound control both provide quiet, soothing environments in the base. The A-Spec level offers a bit more with its Iconic Drive ambient LED lighting with 27 bold themes, perforated Milano premium leather and ultrasuede sport seats, and leather-wrapped flat-bottom wheel. Both also get thrilling technology, including an Acura/ELS Studio premium audio system. The base gets a 9-speaker system, and the A-Spec houses 12 speakers. Both also get an incredible 10.2-inch HD dual-content center display and a range of driver-assist features like lane departure warning and collision mitigation. The A-Spec also comes with additional safety features like front and rear parking sensors and a rear camera washer.
