Specs at a Glance

The 2025 Acura TLX is engineered to excite driving enthusiasts. This premium sports sedan also offers great comfort and head-turning styling. When shopping for a new TLX, some drivers will be deciding between the TLX Technology and the TLX A-Spec®. Let's take a closer look at how these two trim levels compare.

Performance

The TLX Technology and the TLX A-Spec® pack the same amount of muscle under the hood. Motivation comes from a 2.0-liter, turbo VTEC four-cylinder engine. It's rated to develop an entertaining 272 horsepower. A 10-speed automatic transmission with Sequential SportShift paddle shifters sends power to the wheels.

Of these two TLX trim levels, only the TLX A-Spec® comes standard with Acura's Super Handling AWD system. Not only does this torque-vectoring AWD system enhance traction, but it also takes the car's cornering capabilities to the next level.

Appearance

The TLX Technology has a sleek appearance. Signature styling cues, such as Jewel Eye LED headlights, help it to stand out from the crowd. An attractive set of 19-inch machine-finished wheels elevate the sedan's curb appeal. Some of the Technology trim's exterior color options include Platinum White Pearl, Majestic Black Pearl, and Liquid Carbon Metallic.

A sport appearance exterior package gives the TLX A-Spec® an even more aggressive look. LED fog lights and exclusive 19-inch wheels further distinguish the A-Spec® trim. Exclusive exterior colors, such as Apex Blue Pearl and Performance Red Pearl, are also available for the TLX A-Spec®.

Features

The TLX Technology certainly allows you to enjoy a luxurious drive. Heated front sport seats and dual-zone automatic climate control help promote outstanding comfort. Several user-friendly tech features will also surround you. Acura's modern infotainment system provides a 12.3-inch display screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration. Other highlights include leather upholstery, a 13-speaker ELS Studio premium sound system, a wireless charging pad, and a 12.3-inch Precision Cockpit digital gauge cluster.

The TLX A-Spec® has a sportier cabin. Its flat-bottom sport steering wheel helps create an especially exciting driving atmosphere. On hot days, you can take full advantage of the A-Spec® trim's ventilated front seats. Meanwhile, a 17-speaker ELS Studio 3D premium sound system treats you to an even more stunning music-listening experience. Brushed aluminum interior trim and a black headliner also help differentiate the TLX A-Spec®.
