2020 Acura MDX Advance Exterior

How Often Should I Service My Acura MDX?

According to the manufacturer, the Acura MDX maintenance schedule starts at 15,000 miles. From there, Acura MDX service intervals take place incrementally up to 90,000 miles. Along with the services recommended at these significant milestones, your vehicle may need to have other minor services performed in between, such as an oil change or tire rotation. To ensure your vehicle is properly maintained, it's essential to follow the owner's manual's service schedule, explicitly designed for your car.

15,000-Mile Service

When your MDX reaches 15,000 miles, it will have the engine filter replaced, and the oil changed. The MDX will need to have both services performed every 7,500 miles, so you'll need to make sure to schedule routine oil changes in between mileage-based service intervals. The rear differential fluid will be changed at 15,000 miles also. An Acura mechanic will check the car's tires' condition and rotate them if necessary to make sure they wear evenly. Cabin filter may need to be changed at this interval.

30,000-Mile Service

Some of the same services will be repeated at 30,000 miles, including an oil change and tire rotation as required. The engine filter may be changed again, too. This time, the car may also need to have the air filter in the cabin replaced. The brake fluid will get flushed and replaced at 30,000 miles as well. Input transmission fluid may need replacing at this time.

60,000-Mile Service

When your Acura reaches 60,000 miles, its tires will be checked for depth and pressure. The tires will get rotated, and the engine oil and engine filter will be replaced again. If your car has an automatic transmission, it will have the transmission fluid changed at 60,000 miles. The vehicle's spark plugs will have a visual inspection and may be replaced. An Acura technician will look at the car's battery and make sure it has enough life and power left. If not, the battery will be changed at 60,000 miles.

90,000-Mile Service

When your car reaches the 90,000 milestone on the odometer, it will receive another round of comprehensive care services. The oil will be changed, and the engine filter will likely be replaced as well. The cabin air filter may be changed again at 90,000 miles, and the transmission fluid will get flushed and replaced. The spark plugs will be replaced if they haven't been yet, and the brake fluid also gets flushed and changed. The coolant fluid will be replaced, and the timing belt may be changed as well.
