2021 Acura TLX Base

What's New For the 2021 Acura TLX?

The 2021 Acura is TLX built for strength, speed, and stability. The wheelbase, at 113 inches, gives it a wider stance than the previous model, the 2020 Acura TLX. Unlike its predecessor, the 2021 TLX is equipped with a powerful turbo engine and an infotainment system to entertain the driver and passengers.

2021 TLX Trims & Features

The 2021 Acura TLX has three trim levels; 2021 Acura TLX, 2021 Acura TLX A-Spec, and the 2021 Acura TLX Type S, which is expected to enter the market early next year. The regular 2021 TLX is a bit more spacious than the previous 2020 TLX. It has two adjustable front power seats, designed to accommodate different hip and shoulder sizes. Another incredible feature described in Acura's 2021 TLX is a multipurpose infotainment system, which will come with a 10.2-inch screen on the dashboard, an ELS stereo (with 17 speakers), CarPlay, Wi-Fi, and Android Auto. The buttons on the steering wheel give you control over some car functions. Acura's TLX 2021 comes with a 24-ambient color system to match the car with the surroundings.

Acura TLX Horsepower

The regular 2021 Acura TLX will be powered by a 2.0L capacity turbo engine with 272 HP, producing a 280 lb-ft torque. This means that accelerating the car from zero to 60 will only take 6.5 seconds. On the other hand, TLX Type S will have a 350 HP, 3L turbo engine, and a V-6 valve setup producing a 280lb-ft torque. This is a significant improvement from the 2020 TLX, which has a 206 HorsePower engine, 2.4L capacity, and 182 lb-ft torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission will power both the 2021 TLX and Type S. The Type S will have a Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) feature to transmit a more significant percentage of the engine's power to the rear wheels. Unfortunately, not much can be said about the fuel consumption since it hasn't yet been rated by EPA or Acura.

2021 Acura TLX Safety

All TLX models are equipped with unique safety technology, The AcuraWatch. It includes traffic sign recognition and the driver awareness feature that keeps the driver alert at all times. There will also be an adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking to prevent a collision. In case of an accident, the car's 3-chamber design will protect the passenger from head damage.
